    National Points question

I've been trying to figure out my national points, but I've hit a bit of a quandry. Since we didn't have the April NAC, do those points remain until the next April NAC, or do they just get rid of them?

I've looked over the athlete's handbook, but haven't found an answer. I know that if something like this happens with World Cups, an individual doesn't lose the points until that tournament is fenced again.

I've got points from last April's NAC, last year's national championships, and this year's national championships.

IIRC, normally you lose the points on the anniversary date of the event if it doesn't occur the year after. That is what is being done at the FIE level as well.

If the same event happens the year after, then you keep your points until that events actually happens, at which time your points are replaced by the ones from the current year's.

The current USFA standings haven't been updated since April 12th, so I think that next time they are updated, you will lose your April 2003 NAC points, and your 2003 Nationals points will be replaced by those from 2004 Nationals.

If that's the case, would they then also remove the Div1 championship points from the 2003 Summer Nats as well? Because that's the event being replaced by April's meet. Or would you have double Nat'l Championship points until the July anniversary?

Nope, you'll lose the 2003 Div1 Nats points as soon as the 2004 Div1 Nationals have happened. So since the rankings haven't been updated, it hasn't been done yet, but next update, the 2003 Div1 Nats points will be gone.
