Alot of...interesting things happened.
First of all, Luther Clement came in 5th? in MS.
I assume people remember what happened to him a while back. It seems he's made a full recovery, which is great.
At least in mens sabre, the top 8 looks...unconventional?
Clearly, all really good fencers. But at least a few in the 8 that don't usually get there, it seems.
Any word on if Tim Morehouse is the confirmed alternate for the O team?

| There was an additional ovation for Luther in recognition of the amazing come back. Just to get to that level is amazing to me; to get back there after going through recovering from the accident shows that he's a fighter.
As to Morehouse - he is the alternate. That really wasn't in contention at this event. Quote: |

| Daria and Eva tie for 13th. This amuses me for some reason, and I'm not quite sure what it is. Anyway. Strong showing in both sabre tourneys from New England, anyway. |

What do you mean "strong showing in both", though?? in MS, the four from NE Div placed 27, 29, 36, and 37 out of 38! Given that it's div I, that's nothing to scoff at, but I wouldn't so much call it a strong showing...
now, Metro division, THEY had a strong showing!

I don't know what you're talking about, but usually in fencing(I dont know about track) you're supposed to finish as close to first as you can.
I was hoping Evan could repeat his great performance last year, pulling an upset to make the 16, then missing getting into the 8 by 2 or 3 touches.
But it's just one tournament.

| Go to the USFA results page, select "sort results by division," select MetroNY, and see how that division dominates: A medal or finalist in just about every event. |

| Since he's here anyways, it would be polite to congratulate Army Fencer on his very strong result at these nationals.
But out of curiousity, why the timidity about the USFA posting a DE chart?

| We don't need to hear what you and the 2nd seed were doing in changing room after leaving the swimming pool.

| Team events I heard team events would be fenced in relay of 3 minutes, without stops during the 3 minutes, except special cases.
Were these events fenced with these rules ?
IF true, does any member fence one of these events, and could he/she say how it was managed by the fencers and the teams ?
