I've been monitoring fares to Charlotte on a bunch of routes. Some very good deals have been popping up now and again; here's the most recent:

Oakland, CA (OAK) to Charlotte, NC (CLT) $166 total roundtrip

$166 round trip total on Delta (DL) after taxes and airport PFCs
[The fare will show as $139 before taxes on some sites]
No Sat or minimum stay requirement.
Good availability.

This fare is currently not being matched by any other airlines and it is *not*available from SFO (San Francisco) or SJC (San Jose), so this Delta fare offered out of Oakland could very well be pulled by Monday. Typically fares this low on such a route with such few restrictions are used by airlines to signal their displeasure to a competitor offering a low fare on a different route. Since CLT is a US Airways hub, Delta is probably annoyed at US Airway's fares on a different route. As this OAK-CLT fare is probably a "spite" fare, it could go away quickly, so don't delay if it's useful to you.

Fares out of SFO, SJC, SMF (Sacramento) to Charlotte are currently significantly higher.

The best fares out of SoCal to CLT are currently out of ONT (Ontario), but are heavily restricted.

I'll post any further hot deals as I see them.
