| First Equipment Bag Hey,
I'm a new fencer (going on 5 months) and, having purchased my own kit - I'm now looking for a place to keep it all. Initially, I had a pcb103 bag from Physical Chess (it came with the set I bought) but I found it to be much too flimsy. Can anyone recommend a decent (read strong and durable) sub-$70 equipment bag?
I'm in Canada - so any North American Online retailer would probably be best.
Anyone here with either the FB007 or FB005 from Blue Gauntlet?
Thanks |

| I'd probably go with the 7 between those two. Also, triplette makes some rather inexpensive, well-outfitted bags, so you might want to check those out as well. |

| I have the BG-928 bag from Triplette, and it has held up really well for me.

| hey tweak, i have the FB005. it's pretty big, roomy and made out of this material similar to my jansport backpack but a bit more sturdy. it has 4 pockets on the outside: 3 on the front and 1 on the back. the one on the back takes up almost half the length of the bag so i've yet to use it. one of the front ones is also pretty big so no use also. for the 2 smaller ones, one is big enough to store a glove and more, the other bigger one is enough to store personal items like wallet, cell phone, body cord, and lots lots more. it also has 2 kinds of straps: one to carry it piggyback and the other like a duffel bag. it's large enough to carry my mask, uniform, foil, water bottle, etc. my only complaint is that when i carry it piggyback, everything tends to travel towards the bottom of the bag...but that's probably true for most of the bags. all in all, it's a pretty good bag, especially for that price.
i've only used it for a month though so i can't tell you how durable it is. also, reading other forums concerning bags, the triplette BG928 is suppose to be good too.
let me know if you need more information, boing- |

| I went with a zip up golf travel bag with wheels for about $40. It holds 6 weapons, mask, shoes, uniform, tool kit, body cords plus room to spare. Got it at Dick's sporting goods.
