Try this Wire Glue:

Awsome wire glue: better than CA, mastics, Bostic, FlecheTite, etc.
First: No, I'm not selling this stuff, but I bought some and its really really good stuff:

http://www.coolchem.com/

Its about the same price, and SEEMS like CA adhesive (Krazy Glue, Zap, etc) but its epoxy based chemistry, and uses an activator to instantly cure it. Its clear, light viscosity and the activator comes in a tiny aerosol (like Binaca). Just a little bit of activator vapor is required to cure.

The key is that unlike CA adhesive which is brittle and cracks off on a blade/wire bond, this stuff remains flexible.

The demo I saw was to glue two ends of a 1/4" o ring together - I could not pull them apart, and the joint stayed pliable and flexible. I bought it to bond Delrin to Aluminum, two notoriously difficult materials to adhere to, and it worked beautifully.

First, you have to like a site that starts off with a quote from Star Trek!

Although, I'd be interested in the glue (and glue remover). It's a little pricey for my taste. Is it my understanding that the way to take the glue off is with their product, and only their product?

Way too pricey. I would rather just use krazyglue and leave it at that. I can replace the glue on a blade MANY times over for the price of that glue....

Not really ... .a nose spray sized bottle of krazy glue is $15. the .13 oz size (pencil size)of krazy are $2, but usually dry up, spill or leak after the first use. This stuff doesn't dry up and has a shelf life AFTER the bottle is opened of over a year.

If your wires come undone all the time with krazy glue, consider the time spent re-gluing (in between bouts perhaps) and the potential for the wire to fail or break when it comes unglued (wire $4.00, + rebuild weapon labor)

Plus... as I stated, I'll use this for other things, just as you probably would.

Have you tried removing a wire that you have glued with this stuff? With CAs, the wire just pulls out. I don't usually have problems with the wire popping loose, but am always looking to try something new. Generally with epoxies, the blade requires a rediculous amount of cleaning before rewiring.

I will stick to Pliobond, (pun intended) it is cheap, smelly, a pain to work with, till you get the hang of it, but fully cures overnight, fast fixes in an hour. always remains flexible, and is easy to clean off, acetone, or just some sand paper, it balls up like rubber cement when sanded. I have seen the mess super-glue etc makes and the resultant wire mess, no thanks I'll glue mine once and jsut wait till the blade breaks before having to rewire anything.
