Array "Anytime you're ready. We might to get going soon though, unless you want to write my two page commentary on the first thirteen pages of Plato's Meno." He finished the last of his chicken strips and coke and sat back with a satisfied grin on his face. "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to understand." Array "You were wondering what you called me?" Lyn asked Mike, a little more than confused, and only slightly louder than her usual public whisper. "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

Array Mike screwed up his eyebrows. "Umm...let's try that again. I wondered what you said." It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC -

Array Lyn frowned. "And I wanted to know what you said." "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

Array "I called you Mossmouse," he grinned. "You've got green hair, and you're always darting about as if you're trying to escape the cat." Array "Oh." Lyn's voice dropped to its usual level again, as well as her eyes. "Maybe I am." "Words are, of course, the most powerful drug used by mankind."

Array Chelsea gave both Lyn and Mike a funny look.
"My don't they get along well." She stated sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
She downed the rest of her coke.
"Well let's get going then. I haven't read Plato since last year." She smiled teasingly to Josh. "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory." - George S. Patton -

Array Shoot, he thought, what a smile. When Josh rose from the table, his hand went against his shirt and reminded him of the gift that his new British friend had given him.
"Can we go back to the dorm so I can change first?" he asked pinching the shirt stain between his fingers and pulled it away from his body. "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to understand." Hebrews 5:11 -

Array Cringing, Chelsea nodded.
"I'd like to drop my bag off in my room anyway." She looked to Lyn. "Want me to take your things for you?"
Lyn either didn't hear or chose not too. Chelsea laughed and tossed her head to the door.
"Come on let's go." She smiled to everyone else, saying it was a pleasure to meet them all and then grabbed up her bag and loose books. "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. Array Similarly, Josh told the group that he'd "catch them later". And the two of them headed out and began walking back to the dorm.
"So." Josh began, as they walked. "How much culture shock have you gone through so far since you've been here?" "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to understand." Hebrews 5:11 -

Array Lissa yawned over her cold coffee, trying to focus her tired eyes on something, anything. She only had one lab tonight, but she was just so tired....maybe she'd go back to the dorm for a quick nap before heading to the Observatory for that 2am lab. Or maybe it'd be cloudy tonight...she could watch the weather back at her room...
She got up slowly. "I think I'm out of here too, people. It was great to meet all of you and talk. I guess I'll see you around." Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should get used to the idea.

Array Chelsea laughed.
"Well, that of course was my first actual American cheeseburger, fries and a coke. Other than that I can't say that I've had time to have much culture shock. I've got plenty of time to catch up though." "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. Array "Ah." he replied, "I'm sure you'll get plenty yet." So I take it they don't have any Wal-Mart's in London?" he asked, just as his own accent became more noticeable. "Gawlee, and here I thought that store was just about everywhere." "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to understand." Hebrews 5:11 -

Array "The only stores in London that are even worth looking at are entirely too expensive. My friends and I would go on road trips whenever we wanted to go shopping and not spend an absolute forture. and No, not a wally-world in site. Which I am assuming is unfortunate, considering how highly your recommend it." She smiled. "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. Array "Oh that store has EVERYTHING. You name it you could probably find it. I barely go anywhere else, I really don't need to. From Electronics to food, they have it." "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to understand." Hebrews 5:11 -

Array "You should apply to be an advertiser for them." She laughed as they reached the dorms."
She pushed the up button for the elevator and then leaned against the wall.
"So, how was your first day?" She asked, brushing a few strands of hair from her face. "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory." - George S. Patton -

Array "Oh the usual, class information being passed out and stuff. I got philosophy homework, but you already know about that. I think my English teacher is nuts though, she's not stable. Yours?" Array "My English professor seems to be stable enough." She laughed. "Theater was a little on the busy side today, but I didn't mind it. Everything else just seemed to be class."
The elevator bell chimed and they climbed in. They both reached for their floor button which ended up in a knuckle jam, and four more floors pressed on the way up to theirs.
"Oh dear, this might take a while." Chelsea laughed. "Wars may be fought with weapons, but they are won by men. It is the spirit of men who follow and of the man who leads that gains the victory." - George S. Patton -

Array "That's true." Josh commented, leaning back up against the elevator wall. "But I don't really mind." he smiled. "We have much to say about this, but it is hard to explain because you are slow to understand." Hebrews 5:11 Similar Threads -
