Lyn's showers were always brief. And hot. The hotter the better, especially when she had to worry about auditions. They helped relax her, and she needed to relax now. She had classes to worry about, & grades to keep up, or she might lose her precious scholarship.

She threw on a pair of purple pajamas & tied her hair back, then rejoined Chelsea in the main room. Lyn sat tentatively on the bed, green eyes on her new roommate. "So...what's your major?"

"History for the time being." Chelsea replied as she set up a few pictures on a small desk next to her bed. "Course it could be subject to change, but I've always been fasinated by it. What's yours?" She asked, brushing her chin length black hair out of her face.

"Theatre, with a minor in English." Lyn said. She bit her lip & looked away, trying to think of something to say next. Then, she asked, "So you're straight from England?"

    Chelsea nodded.

"Yea, you could say that. I wasn't born in England, but that's where my grandparents live and they're the ones that raised me. So here I am, stuck with an accent that seems to completely define me. Oh well. I guess I'll have to live with it. Where are you from?"

"Ohio. A little township near a city called Middletown. Not much in the line of theatre, so I came here before the semester began, just to get my feet wet before plunging in." Lyn felt a little more comfortable now, though her stomach continued to do sommersaults. It was always this part of the show that she hated. The auditions.

Chelsea nodded in understanding. She zipped up her last empty bag and shoved it under her bed.

"So, what do you Americans do for fun?" She asked as she plopped down on her bed. It was then she realized that there were no sheets. "Oh dear, and where can I find some sheets?"

"Sheets? Good question. I brought mine from home. Can't live without my t-shirt sheets." Lyn shrugged. "As far as 'fun' goes, I wouldn't know. I spend most of my time in the theater with the rest of the drama geeks. I'm lucky I know what the sun looks like, as much as I'm there."

"I know what you mean." Chelsea nodded. "Well I guess I'm stuck bare matress for tonight." She sighed, moving to find something a little more comfortable. She pulled out a pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt, then went back into the bathroom to change.

"So what's the show this semester?" She called out the door.

"Ten Little Indians," Lyn returned. Chelsea poked her head out the door, giving Lyn a strange look. "You know. Agatha Christie. Ten people trapped on an island...killed one by one."

"You had me worried there for a moment. I was about to pack and go to a college." She grinned.
She came back out of the bathroom and layed on her stomach, frowning at her bare matriss.
    "So what year are you?"

"This is my first year, but my drama teacher from my old high school knew the head of the department. That's how I got into the summer stock program." Lyn shrugged. A bit of greenish blonde hair fell into her face, & she pushed it back behind her ear. She noticed that Chelsea watched her, eyebrows raised a little at the color. "Yeah...I know. My hair's green. We did A Midsummer Night's Dream during the summer. Never believe them when they say 'don't worry, it's only temporary'." She laughed. "This fairy hasn't been able to wash it out yet!"

    Chelsea laughed.
"Oh that's horrible. I think I would sue. Which fary did you play?"

"Peaseblossom, at your service." Lyn stood, and made a quick curtsey before she dropped back onto her bed. "Why they decided to dye my hair green, I'll never know!" Lyn laughed.

    Chelsea grinned.

"I was peasblossom!" She laughed. "Last year at my local theatre. Though they liked the black hair, so I was lucky." She glanced to the clock. "I'd better go find some sheets. Be back in a while."

She jumped off the bed and grabbed her room key. She pulled a hodie out of the closet, of course she would pick her Mid Summer Nights Dream cast hoodie.

Lyn laughed at the choice and Chelsea winked.

"Can I get you anything?" Chelsea asked, pulling it over her head.

"No I'm good thanks." Lyn replied.

"Alright, back in a jiffy." She called as she left the room.

*Theme to the Friends song starts playing mysteriously in the background*

"A-lex?" Ethan repeated, quite confused. "What, can't the guy say his own name right?"

There was a general crash from his apartment, and then loud cursing, following by stomping. Sean appeared at the door in a hoodie and jeans and, without sparing them so much as a glance, stumped away.

"Friendly guy, that one, eh?" Ethan asked. "My flatmate--Sean something or other. Teaches you how to duck real quick-like." As evidence, he gestured at the vodka bottle. "How's it goin', Mike?"
I've got a theory. It could be bunnies.

Josh grabbed the first box off the back of his red 97 Chevy S-10 and started to the dorm, he could tell this was going to take forever. His room was supposed to be on the second floor, but the school screwed things up. Now his room was on the fifth floor just in time for the elevators to go out.

The five-foot-eleven Josh DeAndreas lugged the first box up the stairs after checking in with the front office. It was a box filled with books and clothes which wasn’t too bad. He could only imagine what a struggle it would be to get his computer up there.

Reaching the fifth floor he opened the stairwell door into the hallway and made his way down to room 504. A little stretching and he opened the door.

“Oh hi, you must be my new roommate.” A voice greeted him.

“Hi.” Josh said, “I’m Josh, uh, where can I put this?” he motioned with his head to the box. The other shrugged as he picked up a pile of textbooks.

“Any old place.” he replied, “I’m Mike by the way, nice to meet you.” They shook hands. “We’ll talk later. I’ve got class to get to.”

“Oh, okay then.” Josh replied. “Have fun in class.” He joked. Mike gave a curt laugh and headed out the door and down the hall.

Josh looked around the room for a moment to observe the rather small living space he would be sharing with that guy. He hoped they would get along alright . . . if they didn’t it would be a long year.

He headed outside to get another box. He figured at this rate he’d be done in about half an hour.

Chelsea had made her way out of the dorms and was looking around campus wondering which way to go in order to find sheets.

"You're a real smart one Chels." She said to herself. "Don't bring any sheets." She shook her head and looked off to her right as she walked along.

Suddenly something very hard and full of corners ran into her stomach.

"Oh dear, I'm sorry." She gasped as one of the two boxes someone was carry fell off of the top. She grabbed it a little clumsily before it hit the ground.
"Oh I'm so sorry." she grimaced, straightening the box.

"Heh, it's okay. I'm about to put this thing down anyway. I'm Josh." he flashed a smile at the girl that he had almost steamrolled in his haste. Josh you need to watch where your going. he thought.

"Pleased to erm run into you. I'm Chelsea." She smiled. "I would shake your hand, but both of ours are full. Would you like some help with these?" She asked.
Her accent was getting thicker. It tended to do so whenever she got nervous and she got nervous when she ran into people. Especially ones that seemed to be at least 6 feet tall.
