Move Tourneys and Results lists down one level

I think the Tourneys and Results lists would get more hits if they were down one level on the "General Fencing" page. Because of the way the link from the e-mail notification takes you directly to the thread, I am unlikely to go up two levels and then down one to find results and tourneys. Actually, I think they get the most views if they are in with the rest of the posts in "Fencing Discussion". Does that cause too much clutter? I personally like seeing the results and upcoming tourneys discussed just like everything else...

Actually, I agree. It seems like Tournaments/Camps and Tournaments Results belong more under General Fencing than Water Cooler and Trading Posts.

I agree, could camps and tournaments be moved?

That is an awesome idea that I would really support

I just click "New Posts" - I've stopped looking at different sections specifically.

Agreed. It'd be nice for the people who post tournaments. I think it would be good to get rid of the "fencing events" section altogether, and put their contents under general fencing.

A good thing to also do with Tourneys and Events would be to post them into the Site Calendar. Right now it looks like the only thing posted are the member birthdays. Camp sessions and Tournament dates can be posted in the calendar and the associated websites referenced from the calendar.

Like Peach, I do the Most Recent Posts click and avoid the problem with having to look to see what category I'm browsing.

Yeah, but I don't want to see the water cooler or fantasy stuff. I really just want to see the USFA/FIE-type fencing info.

acfencing is on a distinguished road
They are in an odd place. Post on the tourn/camps pages seem to be much smaller than in general.

Is that because of where they are or what they are for. Most of us already know what events we are going to and don't use this board to find events

Our club hits the sam eevents every year, nothing new.
TT Open--Jan
AC Open--Feb
Oz Parson's-Mar (some years)
HP Open--June
NM Open--Oct
Air Force--Nov

We are probably not gong to change our plans as a club as our coach is pretty set on what we goto and when.
A few of us go outside his calendar to find other events. The Duel in the Dessert was a lot of fun this year.

I understand that too. I'll be going down the list of new posts and get one that throws me off and I'll realize I just hit one of the fantasy posts.
Under Advanced Search you can select "Posts since your last visit" and select from which Lines you want to see the results. But that is much harder than just hunt and peck the way we do it now!
