Thanks Craig! Your still #1 in our books! Joel
"The more we think we know about, the greater the unknown!" -
One additional request, Craig-- would it be possible to restore the private messages indicator/link that used to be at the bottom of the main forums page? It seems a bit more cumbersome (and a backwards step in useability) to have to go into your profile just to check if you've got any new messages.

Array Some UI suggestions:
In the upper right corner, you have a
previous < > next
button set. Instead of saying "previous"
or "next", which are ambiguous, perhaps say,
"above ^" and "v below" (the ^ and v represent
up and down arrows). That's because the
discussion board is sorted in an up-down
order. I scan that first, looking for a
discussion worth reading. I also know, from
peripheral vision, the titles of the one
above and below the topic of interest. So,
it's more natural to utilize that information
to decide whether I want to go up to the next
topic or down to the next topic.
The problem with "previous" and "next" is the
lack of consistency in how these programs
define previous and next. In my yahoo.com
mail, previous is a more recent mail, while
next is an earlier sent mail. But, in my
yahoo.com group, previous means an earlier
sent message posting and next means a more
recent message posting. Using left-right
to model up-down is bad user interface.
It's the same with up-down for left-right.
(Which is why the scorepad scoring program for
the handheld is much nicer than the paper
slips we get from the BC: the left-right
orientation matches the left-right orientation
of the fencers. The up-down orientation on
the scoresheets only begs for errors in
awarding points.) -

Array no! no! don't give in craig, don't change another thing!, this is great, more decorations is great! any more ribbons?
if you can add even more emoticons- i like the red one [it's supposed to look embarrassed, but i think it looks more like an orator speaking] if there's a file 13 button, or a zap key for gw it would be great! Keep up the good work.
I like going into profile to pick up pm's it's like having a secret hide-away, CANT you guys get into it? -

Array I just think the ratings look silly. If nothing else, it makes me wonder what the people who have 1000+ posts do in their spare time.
