As an addition, YOU are the one criticizing grammar & such. If YOU are so perfect it is YOUR challenge to "one up" us. I don't have to one up you, kiddo. I've been published. People have bought my book & enjoyed it. If you think you can do so much better, by ALL means prove it. Stop talking. Start doing.

Also, Swordsman is right. You broke Rule # 3 with your posts. Some of us know Pig Latin. And, we know that you were posting to be rude. We know what you were doing. No more will be said in response to you. Take the challenge, or disappear. Your choice.

    Woah, okay.

    1. My grammar sucks, always has. I'll scream that from a mountain top if you want me to, won't phase me a bit.

    2. You can write a grammatically perfect piece and have no imagination at all. This seems to be your deal, as you refuse to use your own characters and just mess with ours.

    3. You're not a writer. If you were a writer you would be working with us and not against us. Writers don't "one up", they help each other.

So, go watch a movie. Watching a movie takes very little cerebral activity compared to CREATING something. You don't have much respect for the act of creation either, if you did you would at least appreciate what we have created (though it's obviously imperfect in your eyes).

She scratched her cheek thoughtfully for a moment. Maybe if the amount was low enough... "How much do you think you would need?"
Time to put the silly stuff past us & get back to the fun.

"In all honesty, Highness, as much as possible. We must purchase enough iron for the weaponry needed to outfit the kingdom," Shela stated with respectful seriousness.

Moon bit her bottom lip. "I wish they didn't up and leave me like this," she muttered, truly at a loss. "Ah, give me some time to check the finances before I give you my answer. I must make sure that everything is properly taken care of."

"As you wish," the older woman stated. She gave a curtsey, & when she stood upright, she added, "Be sure to get yourself some rest." Moon nodded, & Shela exited the room.

Once alone, Moon sat with a huff at her desk & opened one of the drawers to find parchment & pen. Her memory for simple things, she noticed, had begun to deteriorate, while her memory of her nightmares clung with sharp talons. She looked inside the drawer & drew a breath. Then, she reached inside with a shaking hand, & drew out a small, round...stone. One of Meekal's stones. Moon glanced around almost guiltily, feeling very foolish. Then, she spoke. "I...I don't know what to do. Can you help me, little stone? Please?"

And then she waited for the stone to answer.

(Know what? Screw it. I want to write. If anyone else wants to join me, it's your call, but I'm not going to let it die without a fight)

A knock came to Moon's door. Not too loud, & rather reluctant. It did not sound like Ken-Dall's usual rap. It didn't sound crisp & business like. Would her guards knock like that? She didn't know. Only one way to find out.

She started for the door, but stopped. Then, she backtracked & grabbed her sword from its sheath. Better to be safe than dead. She walked over to the door & grabbed the handle. "Who is it?"

After a moment's hesitation, the person on the other side answered. "It's...Tellurine."

    "What!"

Without regard, she threw the door open and indeed found Lord Tellurine standing in the doorway, looking very unhappy to be there. "Tellurine," Moon said in a mixture of shock & irritation, "what do you want?"

"I heard that you were having...trouble. As your husband's servant, it is my duty to make sure you are taken care of until his return." He looked anywhere but at her.

Moon's eyebrows rose so high that they disappeared into a curtain of hair at her forehead. "I...don't understand."

He finally looked at her. "Oh, stop the torture, Your Highness. You know that because I am bound to the King of Muu...Meekal, now...I am also bound to you." He shuddered visibly at the statement.

    "I see."

    "Then may I come in?"

What did he think he was? A vampire? No, he was worse. He was a boot licking toady. More draining than a vampire, but a bloodsucker all the same. "I..." Well, maybe he could be of some use. She relented. "Yes. Come in."

He entered, & she gestured for him to have a seat. She sat before him & they stared at one another for a moment. Then, Tellurine cleared his throat. It made her jump, but she doubted he meant her any harm at this point. "Is it true that you have not been...well?" he finally asked.

She considered lying. She considered telling him it was none of his business. Instead, she told the truth. "Yes. I've been having terrible dreams."

"Would you tell me about them?" He spoke carefully, without looking at her again. Something in his voice compelled her, & she did. She told him every detail. "I can understand why you have been so upset," he said when she finished.

For a moment, she saw something different in Tellurine. Some...decency. And it actually felt good to tell someone. Ken-Dall would worry. Of course, anyone would have worried about a dream that would send her into such hysterics. The path had been cleared, & for the next while, she found herself sharing with Tellurine her thoughts & fears. Could he use them against her? Maybe someday. But not now, & "now" was what mattered to her most.
