suganspyce10 is an unknown quantity at this point
guard

Does anyone know where I can get a custom made heart shaped bell for a french foil? I did have some guy on here that said he would make me one but he gave me a real run around and hasn't been on for a very long time, so I haven't heard from him for weeks. I really would like to get one made, so if anyone knows where I can get one, please let me know.
(Hint: Never do any type of business from a guy on here with the name...Artisan...he is very unreliable and will give u a real run around. U don't have to listen to what I tell you of course, but it's just a lil warning.)

slander much?
Maybe libel, I get them confused.

Wow. Good way to start off on the wrong foot. You must be a real hit at parties if the first thing you do is try to spread rumors about the other guests.

___NICE!___
First: What makes you think I'm a guy? Nevermind...
Second: I check this board daily, and post almost as often if not more.
But Hey... thanks for trashing me in public before contacting me. I responded to your message, I quoted you a price and you never replied:

Artisan wrote on 02-13-2004 11:44 PM:
"If you really want a custom foil guard, I can make one for you...Heart shaped...will cost about $25. More if you want engraving / lettering on it. "

And you replied:
"How much would it be for the guard with the engraving?"

On Feb 26 I wrote:
"Sorry for the delay... didn't see your reply - and then the board was down for a while.

Engraving would be almost, if not more than the cost of making the guard, since the domed surface is one which takes considerably more time to set up - and of course depends on the complexity of the artwork. Ironically, I make the guard by hand (quickly) the engraving is done by machine and requires programming and precision set-up."

To which you did not respond AT ALL....

Since you never replied to my proposal, nor sent any money, and I'm the only person who responded to your silly request, it should be me complaining about getting a run around.
And just so you know for sure, I was offering to do a favor for you, a stranger but fellow fencer because it sounded like a fun project. Do you really think your $25 matters to me, or that I work for $5/hr when I can charge 10x that for custom metalwork and machining? Good luck finding someone to engrave a compound curved surface for less than $150.

...so much for being helpful...sheesh
