| As a sabreur, I would say the correct pet for a sabreur is a border collie--highly intelligent, tireless worker, focused....
The correct pet for an epeeist would be a turtle, if not a plant...
The correct pet for a foilist would be a miniature poodle...

| Maybe we're just rabid ourselves, don't need rabies....
It's also not the rabies virus we got infected with, it's the sabre virus

| I don't think people really put much thought into it when they say "durhurhur teh dog is teh st00pid". The ability to learn speaks more of intelligence than sitting around and sleeping all day. Not to mention that a dog is smart enough to appreciate what you do for them.

| So-called dog people are more likely to accept a cat into their homes (thus becoming dog-and-cat people) than cat people are to accept a dog. The researcher who noticed this suggested it's because the pack-like mentality that dog people share with their canines is inclusive, while cats and their owners act more solitary. |

I'd never thought of it that way. I'm a cat person, I understand my cat's personality, and we synch nicely. As long as someone scoops his litter, feeds and waters him occasionally, gives some good petting time, and lets him kill stuff once in awhile, he's quite contented.
Not a fish person. I had a long and disturbing dream last night about having pet fish again. (It was a disaster all the other times I tried, so I don't go there anymore.) The problems keeping the tank clean, the fish dying on me in droves (or schools), the horror of watching them morph into evil non-fish creatures - it was a really dreadful dream! Wonder what a shrink would say about that.
What about squirrel people, SR? What does that say about you?
