Adidas or Abidas?

I recently picked up a pair of Adidas 2000 fencing shoes on sale, but after bringing them home I noticed differences from the same type of shoes used by other fencers in the club.

On the shoes I just purchased the word "Adidas" is not printed on the tongue, the label saying "Equipment" is missing from the outside of the heels and the counrty of manufacture/size label on the inside of the tongue is a different size, shape & color. I wrote to Adidas to find out if these were knock-offs, but they have not replied. I bought them from a very well-known supplier.

Anyone have any opinions? Are these true Adidas fencing shoes or the infamous "Abidas" knockoffs?

I'd guess that they aren't a "fake" as it were. I've noticed that depending on the batch, sometimes the labels change on shoes. I've seen it in shoes bought 6 months appart- the labels are different, they used a different shoe lace and so on. But they were still the same shoe... just "made better".
