Array Looking for a book I'm looking for the book "One Touch at a Time: Psychological Processes in Fencing" by Aladar Kogler. I've searched the web for it and can't seem to find it.
Anyone have a copy or know of where I could find a copy?
Thanks!

Array dude, have you tried the publisher? It's published by SKA Swordplay and their website is http://www.swordplaybooks.com/default.asp
There's an online form there so you can place an order for it (apparently it came out back in 2002) or you can give the publisher a call. Their website has their phone number.
Hope this helps. -

Array SwordPlay books says Kogler's "One touch at a time" is "coming soon." So they're about to do another print-run. [Edit: Also... I just noticed their credit card billing form is NOT secure, so I wouldn't recommend online ordering from them.]
On Amazon, I've done this: You can set up a standing offer for a used book. Search on Kogler, get to the book listing, and click "I'd like to buy one used"... since there are no used books on offer, it will tell you how to put in a dollar amount so that when a vendor does list the book, they will see your offer straightaway. I've had my offer up for ~8 months, and it's either too low, or nobody's selling.
Another way -- I've been too lazy to do this. http://www.usfca.com. If you download some of their PDF issues of the Swordmaster magazine, there are advertisements therein for hard-to-find fencing books. I've seen Kogler's books listed... I just don't remember who is selling them. -

Array No, I think it's just that Swordplay's website hasn't been updated since 11/2001. Yeesh!
Has anybody heard about the Golubitsky book that's apparently being released by them in March 2004?

And re: Golubitsky. He talks his book up in the interview on this site, and in his "Once upon a time..." DVD. I asked a friend who had spoken to him about it... I got the sense that the book is less about fencing, and more about G's life in fencing. -

Array Thanks for the help BF. It hadn't occured to me to call the publisher. I'll do that.
