| If the LP grip offends your sensibilities, you can do what I've done in my ongoing battle to balance posting with the French, maintaining a relaxed hand, having some degree of grip strength, maintaining point control and avoiding a recurrence of tendinitis in the elbow.
I had recently returned to using my SchermaSport grips, with immediate improvement of point control and strength of grip. Unfortunately, within three weeks, the twinges returned to the elbow.
A compromise however was achieved by doing the following:
I re-installed my thin (or narrow) Allstar grips and then overwrapped them with tacky tennis over-wrap tape. The result: a much more grippable weapon than before which is considerably lighter than it was with the SchermaSport grips.
So far, so good.
Total cost: 2 USD per weapon.
