Array Form Is there such a thing as being on form and off form?
There are sometimes when I seem to perform extremely well and there are other times when I make all sorts and mistakes and get beaten. Can I credit all these to form?If so,how do I "stay" on form?
Thanks. A weapon is only as good as the arm that wields it. -

Array be so incredibly good that when you're off you still whoop everyone!!! =) For me, the way to be on is not to focus on results at all, which is really hard for me. . . When I focus on the placing I want to get, I suck (not that I don't anyway. . .). Homestarrunner forever!~!

Thanks. It's called mental focus. Aldar Kogler wrote a book specifically for fencing on it. All sports, however, have books on the mental aspect of the game. Being on form can also be called 'in the zone'. -

I did read a book like this but did'nt quite understand it.There was alot about relaxing, concentrating and all the mental stuff. How do you acheive maximum focus? There are a number of ways to help achieve maximum focus, and for most people it is life long journey. Some follow the mental programs that sports psychologists recommend, while others follow paths like Zen.
A simple way to practice, next time you are doing any activity, like washing the dishes, focus 100% on that activity. That's one simple way to practice focusing. Similar Threads -
