All I can say is that Northwestern is definately going. Also, just out of curiousity, anyone know which of the schools entered have strong saber squads? ;-)

If Northwestern is anywhere near the strength they were a couple years ago, my money is on them overall. -

Array It looks to me like the set of competitive teams is stronger this year. That's great to see! Don't let 'em drop it. Don'tlet'emdropit. Stop it... bebop it.

Texas A&M has not gotten their act together this year and as such will not be participating, leaving the University of Texas as the Lone Star State's sole representative.
Our saber team is relatively experienced (seniors all), but probably not up to the caliber of the better teams in attendance. We were thrashed last year on Day One but pulled it together in time to make a reasonable showing on Day Two. Our big victory was taking two of three from the USMA's trapeze artists. And the damned Gamecocks stole our flag, or at least we're pretty sure they did, so they'll be gettin' it, assuming they're showing. I personally hope to do well, but I have a hard time seeing us getting past Northwestern, assuming they're bringing quality guys back. Army should also be a threat to win it all; as I understand it, Florida and Michigan State are returning weaker squads than last year. In any case, chattin' time will be over soon enough. I'll see you boys in the Frozen North. Hook 'em. It came out of what men were, but it did not go as men had planned. The Almighty had his own purposes. -
