The Passion

yeah I know. It's everywhere, so why do I have to bring it up in here? Well, I don't have anyone to talk to, as pathetic as that is, and I want someone to see what I think. I guess what I have to say could be important to someone, in anycase, it might help.
I don't know how many of you have seen it, but that movie is said to be powerful. I have to dissagree. The movie is nothing. It is the truth that has power. The truth that Mel Gibson portrayed very well. It was graphic and violent, but if you knew anything about the book and the details, it wasn't needed. I think the most powerful thing about that movie is the sequencing, and some of the artistic licensing. But the movie isn't what matters. I don't know about any of you, but I did cry at that movie. That much I was expecting, it was how little that surprised me. Afterwards I cried, and I don't even know what for. Did any of you, cry after the film was over that is? I wonder.

Well I've seen it. If it were a movie to use the frase 'it was good' then I would use it, but it doesn't fit for this one. The only word I can think of for it is humbling. I think everyone should go at one point in time, just to get it.

Ahhh, the Passion. It hits you like a sack of Biblical bricks. It's a movie that no one should want to see but everyone should see. Watching a very realistic depiction of Jesus Christ being crucified is not what I'd like to call a good time. But it had a substantial impact on my walk with God and my spiritual standing with Him. I now have a greater appreciation for what Jesus went through for me (and all mankind) and I will never take the crucifixion or communion lightly ever again.

I can understand where the world's view of the word good does not apply. It is not entertaining, it is not fun. But the movie is good. It is good. I mean good like when God made the earth and said, "it is good". That's what I'm talking about. In essence, it is a good movie. Just thought I'd say that!
