    old old article...

A very interesting trip down memory lane led me to the finding, of all things, a Muppets magazine that somehow had gotten stashed at my parents house for the last 20 years. Some of you are just too young to even know at one point, the muppets were popular enough to have their own magazine.

Anyway, this one was from the Summer of 1984 and featured several muppet interviews with olympic atheletes for the 1984 olympics. Somewhere in the center, to my utter surprise was a fun article with Gonzo talking with Steve Mormando and Michael Lofton of the 1984 USA fencing team!!

Though I wasn't able to pick up fencing until college, it's funny to think that apparently the idea was getting into my head even as a child.

I wonder if the fencing community does things like that to shower awareness with a plethora of youth like that anymore...

I feel obliged to ask if it might be possible that you transcribe it so it can be ravenously devoured.
Perhaps scan it and post the pages?

*laugh* I will do so as soon as I can.

I would scan them in and post the article accurately as a pdf (rather than transpose), if someone would only explain how...

    ??

Well, you can save a one page PDF, from Photoshop if you have it. Just scan it in, crop, adjust as you like, and go to Save As. Choose Photoshop PDF form the Format drop-down. The only catch is that it can only be one-page. For anything more than that you'll need a program like the full version Adobe Acrobat (not the free Reader).

Oh, sorry. You just have to click the Post Reply button above the Quick Reply box (I don't think you can attach with a Quick Reply). Then, Under the post box There's a manage Attachment button. Click it and upload the attachment.

Obviously, I'm out hunting for rep points. It's too damn addictive.

    hehe. Right. Thanks...

I scanned in the article and emailed it to Craig to put up here as it was a bit too big to upload. Thanks Craig!

Just remember, the article is more than just a bit silly. But hey, it's fencing, right???
