Participating schools for purposes of the competitioln held 2/21/04 at Tufts Univ. in Medford, MA included the Mass. How is Dartmouth fencing these days? I fenced for Dartmouth in the 77-78 and 78-79 seasons.... when we had a funded team. Lost funding after the 79 season.

A dartmouth fencer fleched and bellpunched me in the face, giving me a concussion and sending me to Mass General. He did not apologize.

Some of my friends were pictured in these college fencing meets. I don't know, but it feels weird to see them at such events.

I can't complain though. I'll be joining them next year.

I didn't see the action but I did see the end result, and it's not something I'd wish on anyone. Fortunatelly a number of trained staff on site as well as a group of first responders (paramedics/fire) did an excellent job of making sure he was o.k.

His mask appeared to be in need of some serious cosmetic surgery though.

As for Dartmouth Fencing? I can't really comment with any measure of objectivity - just haven't watched enough of their bouts nor do I really know much about their program.
