"Green Destiny" - name your weapon?

Has anyone here named his or her weapon? Possibly even inscribed the name somewhere?

I named one of my foils once: "Splinter," because I imagined getting under the other guy's skin (so to speak). Not that I was any good at the time, mind you. But I liked the name anyway.

It really depends on how I'm fighting as to what I call my weapon.

Well lets see I've got two foils (hey I'm new and naive, I can get by on two right ) one name Leon (handily it is a Leon Paul foil) and Crap (which is a basic beginners electric foil from the Fencing Post that I'm not sure who made). Please note Crap is not neccessarily crap it just seems a lot heavier and more unweildy than Leon.

Well I only have one epee, and I have not named it yet. Though I am considering it. I don't know what to call it though. I have to ponder the idea. It's an electric Leon Paul, and it's female. I may call her Paula or something Or...not.

As mentioned in the last thread of this variety, the only weapon of mine that I've bothered to name is "The Ghetto Foil", an old Santelli dry Italian gripped foil. It gets it's name because the prongs on both sides have broken off and been spot welded on at least twice each, it barely even resembles a circular shape any more, the last time that it required repair I accidentally melted a small hole through it, and currently one of the prongs is being held on by duct tape. The blade has been replaced twice, and the the actual grip is slick enough that that Spiderman couldn't stick to it. However, the pommel is fine!

I have two weapons (epees). The newer one
hasn't had time to gain a nickname yet, but the older one is known throughout the club as "Rusty Danger". (Doesn't translate well from Swedish.) No matter what I do, it seems to get more and more rusty. Luckily it doesn't seem to leave marks. Yet.

The two competition ready weapons I have I always referred to as Thing1 and Thing2. The components have changed over the years, but the names are always the same (Though oddly enough Thing1's bell guard is an old Santelli that just won't dent or die...I think it's made of Kryptonite or something...it's probably 25 years old).

My foils' new names are 'Broken' and 'About To Break.' The foiable ( ) bends like putty and the other one only exists in a state of higher fencing conciousness.

Well let's see here...My practice epee is named Gustoff and my regular one is named Juan. I basically name everything I come in contact with.

Named? No, not rigourously, anyway. But both my epees have been blessed by Jesus. Or, at least, the Jesus look-a-like at my club, but that's just semantics.

i think watching me talk to one of them psychs out the opponent somewhat.

one foil, i call it The Immortal, because me and my buds form the club built foils for us, and mine is the only one that is still in good shape and working

"El Conquistador", but then, I name just about everything "El Conquistador". This includes, but is not limited to, nearly all of my pet fish, a beer bong, and a cat.

My foils go unnamed. If my opponent was to discover their true names, he/she would have power over them.

To disguise their power from my antagonists, I refer to them as "this one", "that one", and "my other foil". Such as: This foil doesn't work, let me get my other foil, or don't use that one, use this one.

Someday, when they have grown enough in strength, I will reveal their true names for all my foes to quake in fear at the mere mention or their awe inspiring monikers!!!! Mu wa hah hah, mu wa hah hah, mu wa cough, cough, haaaaaccccckkk, cough.

No seriously, I haven't named my foils, they are an extension of me ( or so I wish)...
