    Soundtracks

Yes, it's been done before, but we've had some changes since. So let's try it again - what songs for your character(s)? If the title isn't clear as to why, post a few lyrics to get the message across.

Senyik - "Wherever I May Roam", Metallica. "Ugly Day", Five Iron Frenzy.

"I can't believe this ever happened,
I didn't think it ever could,
I'm the author of sappy love songs,
    Trading in my bachelorhood.
    Something snapped deep inside me,
    Something that somebody said,
I felt the brush of angel's wings then,
Your voice echoed in my head.

    Ugly Day, sun is shining,
Every cloud's got a silver lining.
    Ugly day, skies are blue,
Now every day is ugly without you."

Nękos - all sorts of heavy metal. Any kind of battle music - Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, or Last Samurai soundtracks. Cold, "Stupid Girl".

Rosaline makes me think of Dido's "White Flag", considering the events immediately preceding the summit.

Evanescence's "My Immortal" for Tębryn - a slow, mournful song of loss, also happened to be used for the funeral scene in "Daredevil".

For the whole thing: Revis' "Seven" - "It's all over, it's all over now...the rain is falling, the rain is falling now..." for after the main invasion. Also by Revis, "Everything After".

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protestor to burn the flag. - Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

"Against All Odds" by Phil Collins, for the recent trouble with Moon & Meekal.

Give me time...I'll find more. Muah haa haa...

Very good swords! That's one of the songs I use for Rose. There are a couple of others, I'll have to think about it though. Evanescence I could probably use too.

For those of you that don't know it.

    White Flag

I know you think that I shouldn't still love you or tell you that.
But if I didn't say it well I'd still have felt it,
    where's the sense in that
I promise I'm not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were but

I will go down with this ship and I won't put my hands up and surrender
There will be no white flag above my door,
I'm in love and always will be

I know I left too much mess and destruction to come back again
And I caused but nothing but trouble,
I understand if you can't talk to me again
And if you live by the rules of "it's over" then I'm sure that that makes sense but

    (Chorus)

I still need to get that CD.

For Nękos - how could I forget "One Step Closer" by Linkin Park?

"Everything you say to me, takes me one step closer to the edge - and I'm about to break! Shut up when I'm talking to you!"

Breaking Benjamin's "Shallow Bay" - "I don't think you wanna f*** with me..."

    TIME TO GO CRAZY!!

Okay, it's late at night, tomorrow's Friday, I'm looking forward to a weekend skiing, my roommate is currently playing a strange techno-punk version of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, and I just had a shower - where I do my very best thinking. Let's go.

Alright, here's what's up. Same roommate played the song "Punk Rock Princess" just before I went to go shower - "You could be my punk rock princess; I could be your garage band king." Thinking of the soundtracks, it occurred to me it would be perfect for a modern-day version of our story, about the love that the record companies forbade between Meekal, lead guitar for the Rock Hard Muuvians, and Moon, singer and songwriter for Buffy and the Vampires. When things turn dark, however, and ratings start to drop, they both have to find a new sound, and so they turn to Nękos, lead guitar for the gothic death-metal band Blank Empty Chamber.

    So. What's everybody else's band?

The new guys on campus, "Gypsy Love," will be introducing their first album "Don't Rain on My Caravan" just next month! If you like vocal jazz, a touch of the blues, and a lot of spicy foreign music, this is the group for you! Or, if you want a more native, garage punk band type, "Crin and the Forget-Me-Nots" will be releasing their hot new single, "What's your name again?" next Tuesday, featuring guest vocals from "Gypsy Love!" Be sure to check out these two new groups hitting the charts!

Or the hot new boy band - "Exiled", with Senyik and Darion!

And don't miss the hit single from the Rock-Hard Muuvians: "Get Stoned"!

Now available, Exiled's new self titled single! Featuring "In the Strike Force" and Devlinn's "My Love Is An Elf, So What?" and a song that's sure to release some pent up agression, "Die, Die, Die."

    In the Strike Force
You can sail the seven seas!

That's actually all I remember from "In The Navy," solely based on the fact that when a whole bunch of drunk ROTC people get together and start singing that, that's all they know, too.

By the way, I think Moon's theme song should be the theme to Scooby Doo. "She comes with her own ransom note!" *ducks away from Moon*

So Talmour's themesong would be "Drunk Scotsman," Falcour and Crin's romance does quite well to "Fast as You Can" by Fiona Apple, Falcour could SO get away with "Across the Sea" by Weezer, and Crin herself would do well with either "Forgotten" by Linkin Park or "They're coming to take me away, haha."

Okay so maybe the best song I like for her is "Happy Endings," by the All-American Rejects.

Okay, Crin guessed...Moon is patterned mostly after Daphne. And this came BEFORE the Scooby movie, where Sarah Michelle Gellar (uh oh...the method to my madness! Buffy...Ken-Dall...) played the resident damsel in distress. Willow, who is my best friend in real life, called me Daphne for several years, even before Arconia ever started. So...I ran with it.

Found the perfect song for Moon. It's called...

"B--I--T--C--H," by Meredith Brooks. Minus the spaces.

    Don't forget

I've seen all these posts and not one for Andrea Bocelli, what a shame! Here is a link to his newest song ( which by the way I think is a great suggestion for this thread ) so all of you may redeem yourself.

Excuse the utter bad mood, but we have no need to "redeem" ourselves. We know our story & characters. You don't. Suggestions are fine, but I don't like being talked down to.
