Thanks for your help. I heard about the even in charlotte the day that it happened, and i really want to get more training in before i get to tournaments. I still have to get another sabre, body chord, knickers and chest guard before i am even eligable for tournaments. And my Leon paul jacket and Sabre Have yet to arrive. What part of NC are you in?

There is a lot of saber fencing in NC and being done by teenagers. Competitions are occurring almost every weekend at some place in the state during the season. Look on Askfred.net for competitions in the Southeast Section. There were 2 saber events last weekend. I believe 1 in Charlotte this weekend and 2 more in and around the Triangle next weekend, just to name a few. We buy a lot of equipment, ie jackets, lames and gloves from PBT in Charlotte. We have never had any of their gear not pass inspection at events. Excellent gear and it holds up well. Usually you can receive it in 24 hours.
