Tuscon:
Decent area, lots of cheap, decent hotels in walking distance of the venue. Very dry, not many food sources in the area.
Pools:
? : Left handed posting counterattacker. I'm not sure why I kept doing the things I was doing. It just took me time to gear back up to fencing well, I suppose, as is usually the case with the NACs. I kept missing, and he kept getting lucky. Some of his touches were just bizarrely lucky and he was quick to admit it. If I would've just

Open Epee:
Pools: 2-2, lost to some guy and Zeichmann
DE's: 15-4 V vs new girl, 14-15 D vs Zeichmann
Open Foil:
Pools: 4-1, lost to top seed
DE's: 15-3 V vs some guy, 10-15 D vs clubmate Strickland
One overlying problem the entire weekend: focus. I've had focus problems in the past, but its really obvious now and a huge problem. The only bout where I sat down and really focused was the DE with Zeichmann, and I only had it in the last

drove up to fence this event mostly for practice. wanted to fence some foil before atlanta, and wanted to fence epee period, since i don't have anyone to practice with in practice.
i treated my pools in epee like practice in order to get some much needed practice in. results reflected this, as i dropped a lot more touches than i should've, and dropped a bout.
i can't really recall who was in my pool, but i went 4-1, +18. ended up seeding tied for first, on the top side

geoff eldar in statesboro:
ridiculous event.
epee, scores are approximate:
4-5 L vs. murphy
5-0 V vs. olesner
4-3 L vs. ?
5-3 V vs. ?
seeded 16th, had to fence parmer, won 15-11 or so, fenced herin, lost 7-15 or so. final placing: 16th.
i had absolutely no focus or blade control. was missing like crazy and getting hit on stuff that i should've seen coming a mile away. i'm pretty sure i have a problem focusing on
