Nope!

I'm just incredibly awesome and I want to go. I've done a lot of local tournaments, though.

And hopefully I'll qualify for nationals in some way or another. Cause I want to go.

I thought you HAD been to a lot of NACs! Well. That kind of blew me out of the water.

Aww. I'm going to a major tournament in Seattle this weekend with some teammates of mine, actually. An A4 open event. My goal is to make the top 32 so I can get a better rating.

No, that's my point. I've no teammates to go with. I mean, I have a couple, but... heh. And there are really only about two people from other clubs that my parents would let me stay with. Maybe three.

I've only been to nationals once, though. I was eleven. I have the feeling it would be a completely different experience now.

That, and the vast majority of hotels won't let minors check in alone...

I sort of do... But how did we get to the topic of teammates?

And I started college today. I'm psyched.

You're so smug about your 'advanced' age... don't hold that over my head. I can keep up with the best of you. Reason I wouldn't be alone, though, like I said, is my younger brother.

Also, I don't really have teammates.

Being I'm almost 18, i'm actually fairly likely to be going alone to any major events. So I guess whatever works for you is fine.

I'll just be psyched to be going to a national tournament. Where of course, I will totally own. Depending on how I qualify, of course.

Oh, no, it's not a problem of that. I'd be fine walking around the venue where ever; she really wouldn't care.

It would just be the whole 'yeah um I'm going out to lunch today' thing that would be odd. ;D

Oh well. I guess we could just stay in sight if she's REALLY worried. Or disapear when she turns her back, but I'd rather not be charged with kidnapping, so that's probably a bad idea.

There are a few other people I'd like to meet, too. IE Shi No Tenshi, Maple_epee, and maybe a few others.

Speaking of lunch, I was thinking of how weird it would be trying to explain that to my mom and NACs or Nationals... and there's not much of a chance she wouldn't be there with me, because my brother will most likely fence too.

Anyway, I think actually going out to eat somewhere's kinda far-fetched. But grabbing hotdogs at the venue and chilling on and empty strip? I'm there. I'd like to see some other people from fnet, too, if any of us are on the same day... That would be fun!
