My girlfriend who went through radiation said it does not necessarily get better, but you learn to deal with it more and are able to function a bit better. You will still be limited but not totally wiped out.

Because my radiation appointments are at 4 p.m. every day, I have to get to work early and make up for leaving early. And if each treatment goes as badly as yesterday's did, I need that extra time in the morning to get all of my work done before I leave. I won't be able to do anything in the evenings.
