Last day of recovery before I return to work. It's been a wonderful luxury to have 2 weeks off post-surgery so I could concentrate on recovery. Then again, it's my right knee and I quite literally could not drive. It's still uncomfortable to drive (meaning my knee hurts every time I press the gas pedal or the brake) and my reaction time is awful; thus, I've been keeping off the road except for short, necessary trips.
I can now extend the knee fully and lock and hold the knee while

Cabin Fever hits and my feeble attempt at driving reminds me why I have cabin fever. Walking around the store also didn't feel wonderful and I spent the rest of the day with my knee on ice.
Tomorrow, I get to try the gym with plans to do 10 minutes on the stationary bike followed by 3 sets of 15 one-legged presses and then walk around in the swimming pool.
Patience is not my strong suit but I'm learning how to at least pretend to be patient.

My husband would prefer not to give up half a day of work to take me to my appointment tomorrow so I drove about a mile, walked for three minutes, and drove back.
If there was a way I could drive without using my leg, this would work. I am just not up to it yet.
Who wants to bet that I wind up driving myself anyway?
Pt is making almost no progress now and still hurts like hell but I am about ready to throw away the painters tape marking the minimum

The idea was that if I could cut the grass (using the riding mower), then I could drive myself to Tuesday's appointment.
Not the brightest idea ever. For one thing, the ground is not as smooth as the interstate. Then again, our roads are crumbling so maybe bouncing around out there did give me a good idea what I'm facing Tuesday.
I got the front finished before taking a break to ice my knee and re-examine my sanity setting.
I did 5 full reps of the
