I was quite pleased. As I said, I learned a lot. Still need to be more patient, though. Patience is an important virtue that, in my limited experience, pays off a lot in epee.
finished more than a dozen people, not bad.
I would kill to go to the upcoming NAC but both women's epee events are on weekdays and I a) have to go to class and b) don't think I can get a ride, as the only person I know who is going will be competing Saturday and Sunday. Oh well. Next time. And Remenyik's going to be sick. I can't wait.
fencing bug bites you pretty hard, huh. Wait until you get to Remenyik... and you really need to check out the National (much bigger); You will get hooked for life.
There is not enough practicing lately. I've been fencing three times a week, but I have only one epeeist to work with, and I spend most of my non-practicing time waiting and wishing for next practice to come. I dunno about large crowds, as only three people have come to class at the Y and school doesn't start for another week and a half.
How was practice lately? Do you guys get a large crowd in the beginning, then most of them disappear few weeks later? The chance of me going to Remenyik is getting smaller now...
Tonight I was at an old rival club (because of my recent job relocation), there are expection of me if I show up there; most of them who knew me are gunning for me (I use to beat them up... badly)... tonight they got their revenge.
I don't think you can have a bad practice when it's your first practice in months. The fact that you are getting back on the strip is a big step!
sort of... writing on your own wall here won't do anything. How was your practice? Mine was bad considering this is the first time I fence in months. :P
It's just like facebook for fencers!
