My agent told they are working on the position (I fit more than one opening) and the number right now (adjusting for the cost of living in NYC); I should have an offer soon.

Talked to my old boss and I should have an offer from my old company soon as well. They shouldn't laid me off, they should have just keep me on overhead for three weeks; now they want me back for a new year-long project which is a continuation of a old project I worked on.

Tomorrow I'll be interview with another company near by.

Four interviews in three weeks, I think this good for the current economy condition.

How is the work situation?

That is all good news. I love Chicago, except for the middle of winter. In some ways a much much bigger version of where I live.

I guess it some of this would come down to how much you are willing or able to re-located.
