(Just in case you are wondering.) I did some W.C.Fencing years ago, not competing, just a training partner.
Just make sure you don't stand up when "lunging," you don't want them to call butt-judge on you.
Don't you know it. Scott has also taught me to wear some sort of covering on my back hand to help prevent blisters while using the wheel to push myself forward and pull myself back.
Better start developing your back arm now.
I know, I have tried WC fencing and it is hard, but fun. I am glad I am going to be able to stay in the sport. Scott will help me customize my chair. (you know, flames, extender pipes, the usual)

Yes. I cannot maintain my balance and the apraxic episodes preclude me from getting the bottom half and the top half of my body to work in unison. So I am going to move to wheelchair.
