At least you can see Russia from your porch. . Experiencing the world is the important part,
Some days I am more heartless and apathetic than others. But sometimes I think that seeing the world would be an important thing to do. =^_^=
Travel is highly recommended. We have taken the kids to a variety of places and they have learned so much. Of course, that was before fencing started draining the finances. Now have to consider how to pay for international competitions.
I do hope to take like a summer and do like the tour Europe thing... and maybe South America... and Australia... and... and... or not.
In your cities bog, I forgot Bath in the UK. Lovely place.
I can't argue there... I do say that a lot. And, why yes, we do put mental facades in place. Thus the popularity of avatars. To be honest, for you I picture the father of a friend of mine, so to speak. But not in a creepy way. =^_^=
Perhaps the Lady part provides the direction, but phrases like: Oh, mercy no. Goodness give me more direction. Sounds like some people I studied with from places like Georgia and Missississisppiipi I suppose we all try and make pictures of the people on the net to make it less impersonal.
I see. (setting down fan.) Well, I have my theory on profanity... I figure it's not what you say, but how you say it. I mean, if you sensor yourself, then obviously you thought the word in the first place, right? So everyone knows what you thought, no matter what you end up saying. I mean, there are still times when some vocabulary is inappropriate. But I digress, eh? But yeah... "fiddlesticks" is a word that comes to the forefront of my thoughts, and I use it. It is not really so much to be cute or funny, but to be me. ::Flutter eyelids:: hehehe I just find it so odd that "southern belle" comes to mind when you read some of my posts. That was totally like - from left field or something. But tell me, do you thing the "lady" part had any influence?
Sort of down on the plantation -- Mercy Mr Rhett, what is a girl to do? Flutter the eyelids and fan yourself. The use of English in the US often fascinates me, especially naughty words. I remember the old Newhart Show set in Vermont, with Larry always spelling h-e-double hockey sticks. In my country we just say it.
Ok... my curiosity is getting the better of me. A "southern belle" air? Really? It is now plaguing my mind; that was not what I would have expected, y'all. =^_^=
