IDK about the test result yet. They did told me that they have all my information (application, references, and transcripts). We'll see.

That is a little odd. I would assume that they are not looking for the simple IQ score but how you do on some of the sub-scales that tap into intelligence related to the tasks of the job == maths, analytical problem solving type things.

Strangely, it included a IQ test.

Lots of recruiters use personality tests. One idea is that certain personality types predict better performance on specific jobs, or they can predict people with potential for future development.

The other side is to screen out people who are unstable and may run around hitting people with swords.

I was a grad student in a foreign country (USA) for many years. You learn to look after your money as deportation ain't a good option. (I was threatened with it once, for real.)

Now, I whittle their blades out of old railway tracks and write FIE on them with a texta.
