The Sabre Rattlers are the fencing club of UW Rock County extension in Janesville, WI. Saturday they held a fall open, and I had a great time!

It's sleeting outside; I'm taking a break from indoor spring cleaning projects by stalking the website again. Admittedly, I haven't fenced in ages, but I still haunt f.net for my fix. I have tried to start a thread asking other fencers if they have arthritis and if so, how do they deal with it when they fence. Alas, I can't start the thread. Plus, I'd rather not bother younger fencers with aging problems, but I think a forum for veterans to sound off might be in order.

Admittedly, I no longer fence, but I do stalk the fnet website. I am still somewhat confounded by the new layout; for several weeks I was able to access the blogs only through personal settings. The other day I noticed the template was the good ol' familiar set up. Was it a dream? There has been a moratorium on fencing/spending money in my household for over a year now. I continued to have some contact with fencing by being the secretary of the division this past year, but I'm only fooling myself. I have handed the books over to the next secretary.

If you can't fence, you can't watch the game. If you can't watch the game you're out of practice refereeing, and then there's no point in studying for referee rating... you get my drift. Frustrating!
