I'm pleased to announce that the TungstenFencing STP will be offered at Summer Nationals in Atlanta: check it out at the Leon Paul booth there. The Sintered Tungsten Pommel is not currently shown on their web sites, but contact Bill Murphy at leonpaulusa.com for pricing and availability, etc.
Since LP has the infrastructure and the reach to sell and ship the product far more effectively than I can, I do not plan to sell them direct in the future. I will still be the product support
When I've shown the TungstenFencing pommels to people, I often get the question "Why Tungsten?" My usual (smart-aleck) answer is "Because Gold would cost about $7000 for the same weight," but that doesn't really make the reasons for using Tungsten clear, so I though I'd post some pictures to make the reasons obvious. To net it out, Tungsten is twice as dense (heavier for the same size) as other materials, such as stainless steel. Here's what that means in a pommel.
