I wore my 'Steelers' socks to a tournament in Baltimore. Finally made it to the Amazon!

In 2009, I registered for the Amazon Open...had to drop because I hurt my neck. Last year, I registered for the Amazon Open...had to drop because I hurt my knee. This year I registered for the Amazon Open...and finally made it! And I'm totally glad I did. A very well run tournament & everyone was friendly. Took almost 2 hours to get down there & thankfully it wasn't raining. Week off

Decided to take the week off from fencing. Give myself the "mental break" (not counting school, though). I talked to the trainer on Wednesday and explained what's been going on with the fear of moving. She said it's all down to the mental game now. I'm easily lifting 130 pounds on the leg press with the bad leg and haven't had too many balance issues. Now that I got all the "other crap" out of the worry-zone, I'll have to push the fear out as well. Definitely afraid of D-lite & Lesson

I had a very frustrating tournament this afternoon. First, I really have to say that I really liked the "Experiment" of having the D-lite on Saturday. The 2 hour drive is so much easier in the daylight! I'm seriously hoping they keep things on Saturday. Cherry Blossom - One year later

This time last year, I was forced to withdraw from the WS @ Cherry Blossom because of a knee injury. So, one year later, I'm back! Sort of a pride issue, although I really love that tournament. I hadn't been taping the foam padding over the screws in my leg, and found out today that I need to start doing that again. When I took my socks off this afternoon, I had a large red and irritated area around the lower screw...looks like more padding & KT tape! | ||
