I have a new question about fencing pistes! I'm sorry to bother you all but could I get some help with fencing pistes? Originally, we wanted to instal a piste at home using a local contractor, but after some discussion, we're now thinking to import a piste from one of the manufacturers. We would prefer not to get one made in China, as our experience with China made pistes hasn't been great. So, I'm looking at the permanent pistes from Uhlmann, Allstar, Negrini, FWF and BG. I've also been offered a piste from a Turkish manufacturer, either the normal aluninium or with one of the Olympic colours (they apparently produced for the Beijing olympics). I had heard, though, that the pistes at the Olympics were a bit slippery... has anyone else heard this? If anyone is using any a piste made by any of these manufacturers, please could you let me know what you think? Thank you!!
Hello, please help! I need to buy a new uniform for my husband. He fences epee (and sometimes sabre) and he would like a stretch 800N jacket and pants. He is using the Uhlmann 350N at the moment and he's getting badly bruised! I was thinking of the Uhlmann 800N Olympia, but I read the review about production of Uhlmann products.... I also read some reviews about the negrini and the Leon Paul Absolute. I've herad that both of them do good things with the inner seams and the weight of the suit. Two issues though: he is on the stockier side and does not want the suit to be too tight (he really wants to be comfortable). Secondly, we are fencing in Singapore and it gets pretty warm, so a suit with good "ventilation" would be great. It's a birthday present, so price is not a real issue (I've been saving up! ). As I don't really fence much myself, I'd really appreciate your views! Thank you!
