So I've been paying attention to the CFC format change discussion with a slight amout of hoplessness and despair. I'm pretty sure I won't know what the actual format will be when I get on a plane in March, and that's really not kosher. I am personally in favor of the NW proposal with 7 team pools and seeding by USFA rating, but then, I'm a decent fencer from a OK club in a pretty strong fencing area, so I might be biased. I guess it might look different to clubs which don't expect to make it throught the first DE rounds, but then again, it's a championship, not the everyone feels good high five extravaganza. Perhaps repechage instead of fence off for place would make people feel better? It would take longer.
Roommate arrives tomorrow, classes start wednesday at 9am, practice starts the 11th at 6:30. Here we go, people!
