Its Monday. Yesterday I competed the KCFC's Spring Kickoff Tournament and took 3rd (A1 event). Then they announced the medals yesterday they said 3rd was a "B" rating. I checked the results on ASKFRED and the there was no rating change. Checked the chart and A1 has C for 3rd. Oh well. On the plus side, Michelle was upset yesterday when she thought I had earned a rating with out her there. Again. She started complaining about her being bad luck and other such crap that is ridiculous.

Anyways, Coach Isaac was at the event and watched me fence. He came up to me after my final bout and said(heavy Russian accent), "You did (shrugs) good..." He saw somethings in my fencing that needed to be correct but felt that I have improved in the last month since I started working at FRF.

Other personal results from the tournament: One weapon failed weight test (no spare pressure springs right now) and one broken blade. I'm considering replacing it with a LP non FIE.

I noticed that the chart said there was a change last year. I guess that was it.

A1 tournaments used to give a B to the top 4. Whoever announced was just remembering the system prior to that change. Or never heard about the modification.
