Provincials are this weekend. I'm looking forward to them partly because its my first provincials here and also because its definitely going to be a better tournament than it is back in BC. The local tournaments are always way stronger out here, partly because there are more good fencers and partly because all of the top fencers show up for local events here. I've been fencing for 6 or 7 years now, maybe half of that time I would classify as "competitive" (as in result-oriented goals rather than just having as much fun as possible).
