NH said that we should start doing the Nellya warm-up again next week.... I agreed that it would be good for us (even though my lazy side cringed....)
Fenced 4 x (3x5 touches), with breaks in between. Much, much improved--no huffing and puffing after two touches, stronger, better footwork, etc. Amazing what a little regular training can do for you...
Lesson with Alex:
1. Cut wrist w/advance, attack. With the variations of cut top, cut bottom, cut bottom/cut top, cut top, cut bottom. Feint if you need it. Pursue as required. Etc.
2. M prepares, S stop cut, M attack, S parry-riposte. Variations as above.
3. M extends in 3 or 4. S attacks with pris de fer (strike beat over the tip). Alex also proposed a low line, which confused me until I figured that the correct beat was a strike prime, not a strike seconde.
Long and amusing lesson (probably about 20 minutes).
