Well im heading up to charlotte tomorrow for JO qualifiers. Im going to compete in cadet epee and sabre. This should be an interesting experience for me. I can't even fit all of my stuff in my bag, I somehow managed to stuff 5 weapons in it along with my uniform and body chords, but my 3 masks will have to go in a sepreated bag. I borrowed an epee from a friend of mine and my coach is bringing me his (we have 5 grant epees, but i will only use pistol and they are french). UNCC and checking out

CFFA has agreed to host and has even offered us thier space for our club to practice on wednesday night, free if we bring our own grear, pay the $5 night floor fee per person if we use theirs, of course i will have to run this by the club but it sounds pretty good to me, so far at least. I hope we get a good turnout for this event!
Well, i just found out that my club acutally gets absolutly no funding at all from the school (im going to approach the school board about it). Tournament is coming along great. It looks like its going be good if we can get a decent amout of fencers. It will be december 2nd, from 5-9 pm. There will be open foil and open sabre, Non usfa tournament though. The way it looks right now, either we will be hauling all the equpiment from CFFA to the school, or if were lucky CFFA will be hosting. My coa

Im planning on hosting a non sanctioned electric fencing tournament at my school to raise money for our fencing club (since were running on a budget of about $200 and year currently). This should be interesting since practically no one at the school has fenced electric at all. I’m hopefully going to borrow the electric equipment from my current fencing salle and lames and such. Im thinking about open foil and open saber events as well as an one touch epee tournament. Im thinking $10 first event

Well i went to another tournament today, didn't compete in any official USFA events, but i did compete in one touch epee. It was pretty fun, lots of double touches and deaths, epic fail. Only one victory. It once again reminds me why im a sabreist! But it was fun to watch and support friends! gotta love fencing!
Last week was a lazy week for me. I only fenced for Two day and went to the fair on thursday instead of fencing with John Rae. This week i wont be so lazy. Ill be fencing for 2 1/2 hours a night for 3 nights this week. Might go and check out the one touch epee epee tournament this weekend. No way would i compete but i might take my friend nick so he can see what a tournament is like and how it is run. I am going to try to get my fencing to 5 days a week until qualifiers and get back into my fo

Well up until JO qualifiers i have decided to switch over and train with John Rae at WAC in hopes to be better prepared for the tournament. Currently fencing 3-5 nights a week and doing lots and lots of footwork drills and bladework. Trying to keep up with that and prepare for midterms is difficult, but im getting it done.
Well I had my surgery on my arm on Wednesday(non weapon arm) and was back on the strip that night for my sabre class. I need all the training I can get in before JO qualifiers. I'm gonna get killed! >.<
So today i competed in my first tournament. I competed in open foil even though i am a saberist to get a feel for what a tournament feels like. I came in dead last. But then agian i havnt fenced foil in about 3 months. Havent even picked one up. I did however score three touches between the 5 bouts i fenced so i think i did a decent job for my first tournament.
Well the demo went well. We had lots of new fencers show up to see demonstrations of electric fencing. I fenced for sabre, but lost my bout 3-5. It was a pretty decent bout though and i thouroughly enjoyed it. I fenced foil yesterday because there was no sabre. I will be going to orland for winter break right after christmas. Does anyone know of any fencing clubs in the Orlando area with open bouting?
