My husband had a bad case of "frozen shoulder" and started going to a holistic health clinic, where the chiropractor worked on him and then turned him over to a trainer. He saw a nutritionist, kept working with the trainer after the shoulder was mostly fixed, and is now a bit of a workout fiend. The Y had their annual Healthy Kids Day. They shut down part of the facility and bring in different vendors to introduce kids to healthy living and eating. So, I'm done trying to be one. ...
It's been 35 days (but who, besides me, is counting) since I injured the knee. I haven't been able to do anything but rehab, bladework on my own, and lessons bound to a stool. After weeks of doing the p.t. exercises just like the therapist said I should, she finally has cleared me to take this evening's fencing class. "Don't do anything crazy tomorrow, though." By that I suppose she means no long lunges and paying attention to exactly how the knee feels. ...
