You heard that, didn't you?

I feel pretty good today. Just a few twinges here and there. Rare for the day after a tournament, especially for a tournament where I drove two hours each way, with seven hours spent at the venue.
Mike, Jessi1, and Will told me they had a good time at the Liberty Fencing Club Sabre Open. Jessi was 5th, Will was 2nd, and Mike was 1st. The event went from a B to a D, unfortunately, so Mike couldn't re-up his B (he's down to a C these days, I think) Will beat Jessi by 1 touch in the 8, even though she was still fencing left-handed because Frederick injured her right hand. Mike beat Will by 3 touches in the gold medal. They told me Debbie, Debbie's son, and Dirk were the referees.
I did a good half an hour on the bosu ball with my earphones in, watching the 2006 WS World Championships bout between Becca Ward and Mariel Zagunis, the one Becca won. I sort of watched some men's sabre after that. My legs are definitely getting stronger from dancing around on that thing--I am getting so I can do all kinds of twists and turns on it. I'm not graceful yet, but I'm much more in control.
Mike Will, and Jessi came in, to my surprise, so I wasn't the only crazy person there the day after a tournament. Simon was there also, and qatet, even though after refereeing on the weekend she worked out at the gym this morning. I fenced qatet and we were yelling up a storm, and at one point all the adult beginners turned around to look when I yelled. Then I fenced Simon, who mostly went backwards until his foot was barely in bounds, which was a little boring for me, and then I decided to play with line and with false line threatening hand. At one point, I hit him on the hand when he wound oup and Mark said, "I could see that one coming," and I sort of shushed him because I could see Simon was fairly annoyed.
I quit a little early because I have to be sensible. It's a short week at work, though, and a four-day weekend, so I have hopes of getting my head back into the game, getting into some kind of reasonable shape and catching up on my sleep some time in the near future.
