Work keeps getting in the way of my fencing

It was a crazed week, and it's only Monday. I attended a local conference (Educon) over the weekend and today, though I taught only two classes and went to only two meetings, it was nonstop work from arriving at 7:30 to leaving at 5:20. So of course I really had to think about going to fencing, but I managed to get myself out of the house.
Working straight through the weekend is not good for my mood. I was grouchy. I felt better once I got to fencing. Mary also had something for me - the audio book of the first book of Lord of the Rings on CD - which I had forgotten she promised to bring.
I have GOT to remember to take some sabre DVDs from work and bring them to the club, because all they have is women's foil and a lot of epee, with only one sabre DVD. I watched two DE bouts while dancing on the Bosu ball, and Mike joined me doing footwork, juggling and watching the bout.
Charlotte, qatet, Will, Jessi1, and Tom were also there. I fenced Charlotte, qatet, Will, and Tom but not Jessi1 or Mike. Still practicing the threat to hand, but because I was wound up from work it didn't work as well. qatet's style makes it almost impossible to use on her, so I switched to practicing footwork off the on-guard line and did better.
Jessi1 (I haven't seen the other Jessie for a couple of years, so I should just drop the number!) says she's going to the tournament on the 12th at Liberty. It looks like a U-fest, but I can't find much else in mid-February and it might be fun if Jessi is there.
I drove home listening to the beginning of the book. I must have read the trilogy twenty-five times in my life, and I still like it. Plus it's a lovely version with a nice reader - Rob Inglis. That will make a difference to my commute for a while.
