Three girls three

All the sabre we had tonight was there girls--Charlotte, Meredith, and me. So we fenced each other around, with odd man out refereeing, and it was pretty good after all. Meredith is attacking well, having done yet another fencing camp, but she picked up some of the bad habits of the kids, notably the forward lean and the going-backwards-randomly-swiping-while leaning move. She was also making a bit of a big honking attack, so toward the end I was hitting her one light in preparation. However, she is looking much more like a sabre fencer than before. Charlotte, when she fenced Meredith, didn't adjust right away, but as soon as she added a half advance she started doing better.
The lesson with Mark was workmanlike stuff, nothing particularly new. He seemed pleased.
I am in pretty good shape, considering that meetings started at work today. They were the usual annoying stuff, but I am cultivating an attitude of feckless glee.
One of my incoming students is the younger brother of a former student who fences at my club, and when it was time for pickup, the younger brother came in instead of the mother, and I could see him looking around to see if he could spot me.
