A very good evening indeed. Dave and Ben were there, and so were Ella, Dawn, Kiersten, and Donna. I fenced Dave three or four times, in five, ten, and fifteen-touch bouts--he beat me except for the five-touch bout--and Ben a couple of times, and everyone else as well. I wheedled Donna into fencing me, and even though she felt she was out of practice she remembered fast once we were fencing why she enjoys it so much. Donna really thinks and works when she fences.

Ahren said I was leaning and rushing. I was trying not to lean and not to rush. Oh, well.

Mark and Lara are on vacation, so no lesson with Mark.

I worked really hard tonight--after my last couple of bouts, my heart was going pop-fizz. I feel good.
