Monday, June 23

Originally, I intended to go fencing.
I decided against it because of the heat. Temperatures are way up high and I honestly didn't feel like disguising me and fencing in an overheated gym hall.
I thought, running would be a good idea. Yet, again, the heat kept me from going and if I make up my mind to go run at 8pm, I know I won't do it anymore as I get lazy in the evening.
So I played badminton for one hour. Yes, I know, it's inside too. But they keep the doors open so ...More Read More

It's been long long long I haven't posted.
And even now, I won't have anything to tell about fencing except for the fact that I haven't been holding my epee for a half a year and that sort of hurts. I'll pick it up again from next week on and will try to start reporting again a little bit. Less for you than more for me - so I really can track my training efforts and keep it going.
This doesn't mean I haven't been doing any sports. In the contrary, I have been working out on a very regular bas ...More Read More

Friday, July 27, 2007.

Got home late from work yesterday. I didn't expect it to be any differently, nevertheless does it always surprize me again how crazy especially those days are during which you actually have a tight schedule and need to finish stuff. It's always exactly then that you're being approached with bs that takes time. I write down exactly what I do for how long. I spent 4 hours on accounting issues. I my job is by far not accounting whatever.....
Crazy. Solving problems, cred ...More Read More

....the third.

It's end of July 2007.
I'm in the office having a salad and texting with ZZ and Anisa. Last communication before we meet in Hungary.
Yes, I am looking forward to it. I have not really been expressing myself too much as I simply had my mind somewhere else.
But I am looking forward to it, definitely am. To the fencing, to seeing all again, to getting out of here and changing my mind for a week.
I regret Dhanu won't be with us this year. Had been looking forward to seeing he ...More Read More

I haven't been fencing competitions since June 2006.
Yes, said, isn't it.
It is, I think so too.
Whichever way, I was looking forward to this one. In general, with the exception of few participants, the ambiance is great and everybody (again, withe exception of few individuals) is rather going for the fun than for the extreme fencing results. Of course, you want to win, but the frame of this competition is set in a way that you shouldn't take it too serious. No official pistes are set up, th ...More Read More

although it's already Monday, I like to pass my thoughts over last Friday.

Last Friday, we had our incentive day with the company and went skiing.
I hadn't been skiiing for 3 years, and 3 years ago I went once, that was once after a break of 2 years.
Horrible statistics, I don't like them either. Living amidst mountains and the possibility to go skiing each weekend if I wished to.

I decided to rent skis. Technology has changed over the years. Nowadays the carving skis are the ones to u ...More Read More

Past two evenings fencing training.

Had some good bouts. Keeping my arm too low, still not coordinating well my legs with my arm, but am a lot more precise with my point and my movements are definitely a lot smaller.

I'm trying to keep my posture up. This means as much as keeping my body up and straight, not moving my upper body forward. Actually, my back would feel that immediately.

Furthermore, in order to increase speed, I'm trying not to put my entire feet to the floor but consiste ...More Read More

Again a week is over.
Time flies by, it's crazy.....already March. It seems to me as if the year had just started.

Last week I had the strong urge to spend my evenings at home. I didn't fence, really wanted those evenings at home, nobody around me, no need to talk, explain and other. I enjoyed it, felt good, spending some evenings just working on my new computer, reading my magazines, having some time to talk on the phone. Another thing I used to do more frequently than I do now.

I recently bought a new laptop.
Finally.
I still worked on my Compac which I bought in 1999. It's when I started a higher eduction that I really needed that thing. It was a highlight. Wow, all of a sudden internet at home, cewl.
But in the years my laptop grew old, and everybody knows how fast it goes. I enjoyed working on it, but at the end, it was like:
coming home, opening up the laptop and switching it on
dropping my bag
go to the bathroom
get things for dinner out of my fridge
