SC youth and cadet qualifiers

Our list for the nationals has begun we have 25 already. The SC divisional youth and cadet are over before it even began (it was all us, go figure). I am having flashbacks to NC when I first moved down (Greg Porter what are you up to now?) or the HB division when I first went back. I talk to Rod and the national events and BC told me in an email about an event that he attended up there after not picking up a weapon in 3 years. It has been seven years now. Wow, time flies.
So, the question will be whether or not the other programs in SC will start generating other youth fencers to compete on a national level or not. While the number for NC youth programs continue to decline? It will be interesting to see where they are in 3 years. It will also be interesting to see the leadership change this year and where the “team” will be in 5-10 years from now. It would appear that exist strategies are already to take form and substance. Would it evaporate and get new blood? It will be interesting to see.
We now have a student in Greenville that is one of the editors of the local newspaper and wants to start running weekly happens in fencing. This should be good, why are we having such problems in Charlotte? Ask me a question that I can answer. It will be interesting to see if we can parley that relationship with the Charlotte market.
Alexis will now be the female leaders for the FDS. I would like to see this group get to about 10 and we are almost there. I think that we may take one of the new programs and make it the focus. By the end of next season the FDS should be codified and in place and then the holy trinity will finally be in place.
