It was fun going to the tournament today. I took second place. My rating went up to E2010. I want my D rating back..

I was made a technical error during the finals. I was doing false attacks to draw counterattacks, parrying it and riposting. My attacks were getting remise calls so I went to a one light action. I did a false attack to draw the counterattack, caught the blade with a parry but kept missing on my ripostes. Bummer.

Guess its time to get out the ole fencing dummy and really go to work.

Qualifiers are next weekend. I'll be honest I don't really care about nationals at all this point. Its a lot of money to spend when I could have a lot more ratings opportunities for less money in the sction. Good practice.

I was hearing the USFA might be requiring people to use hotels they select now when you go too which seems really lame to me as well. If I want to get a cheap hotel I should be able to.
