The Absence of Pain

I've been so used to pain that I don't know when it stopped. I just know that last week, Coach showed a drill with PIL and it wasn't until I reached home that I realized it hadn't hurt.
???
I have now gone nuts on doing things I have not done in a long time.
I've knitted. I created some new knitting patterns and made prototypes and then remade them to insure the pattern was accurate (and improved upon the item in the process).
I do NOT need this distraction. Do NOT.
Gawd help us all, I'm making a Wampa hat/face mask. I've already made a zebra, a flying purple people eater hat, a bumble bee hat, and a Santa Claus hat (with beard). I've also learned how to do a loop stitch and it's been decades since I last learned a new stitch.
I used to be a highly proficient knitter and stopped after a 1990 accident that left me with mild shoulder injuries. Then I started fencing in 2005 and got a rotor cuff tear (a small one) and avoided knitting except on rare occasions.
Now I've gone knit nuts and my practice time/attention space/sleep cycle has suffered as a result.
ENOUGH!
There is a thin grey line between being creative and being nuts. I think I'm on the wrong side of the line.
